2010 New Delhi Common Wealth Games
The Commonwealth Games Federation is organizing Nineteenth Commonwealth Games of 2010 in New Delhi. Shera- the Mascot who is symbolize the New Delhi Commonwealth of 2010, shera plays an active role in this game which brings positive approach to the entire game, his sporty power will spread active to entire field. Shera is word taken from Hindi which known as “tiger”. According to Hindu myth the word shera is vehicle of goddess Durga which give power to fight against any battle. Shera gives other meaning to human life to save their species in ecosystem. Commonwealth games first held in 1930 at Hamilton, Canada, it was known to be British game later it changed. A Commonwealth game happens only after four years. This time one of the asian country got a chance to organize the game that is one and only country called India in a beautiful place called New Delhi where all historical monuments which tells old Indian history with beautiful charming environment will prove spectacular moment of commonwealth Games of 2010.
The 2010 Commonwealth game to be happen first time in India on 3rd October to 14th October around 8500 athlete to be participating in 17 sports. And 71 Nations to be participating 2010 games. Main motto of New Delhi Commonwealth game is “COME OUT AND PLAY”. The official logo of New Delhi commonwealth Games 2010 says the spiral wheel which comes outward with full spirit of enthusiasm and also says culture of indian people who lives in Unity in diversity please come forward watch the scenario in October 3rd. And the different layer of colors depicts life, energy with time of excitement, unifying humanity by the name of game and promoting it with the crowd of Indian glory. Twenty training venues have been built to successfully run the game with adequate facility for athlete who helps them to prepare for second largest game in the world.
The main aim to conduct Commonwealth Games is to give awareness to people regarding sports and to encourage people of entire world regarding sports development and fitness.
