Invites Engineers to Join The Indian Navy as Short Service Commissioned Officers in Technical Branches course commencing - January 2012

Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates who fulfill eligibility condition of Nationality as laid down by the Government of India for grant of Short Service Commissioned (SSC) in Technical [Engineering (E) & Electrical (L) Branches of the Indian Navy for course commencing Jan 2012.

Eligiibility : 

Entry Branch/Cadre : 

1) Technical (General Service)
Age Limit: 19 1/2 to 25 years
Branch )E & L)

2) Submarine Cadre (E & L)
Age Limit: 19 1/2 to 25 years

Born Between (both dates inclusive)
02 Jan 1987 to 01 Jul 1992

Educational Qualification: Four years BE/BTECH Engineering Degree qualified with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised university with one of the following streams:-

Technical Branch (General Service)
a) Engineering (E)
Branch

b) Electrical (L)
Branch

Technical Branch (Submarine Cadre)

c) Engineering Branch (Mechanical)
d) Engineering Branch (Electrical or Electronics or Instrumentation and Control or Telecommunication.

About The Indian Navy

The Indian Navy is a well balanced and cohesive three dimensional force, capable of operating above, on and under surface of the oceans efficiently safeguarding our national interests.

The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) exercises operational and administrative control of the Indian Navy from Integrated Headquarters of MOD(Navy). He is assisted by the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS) and three other Principal Staff Officers, namely the Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (DCNS), the Chief of Personnel (COP) and the Chief of Material (COM).

The Navy has the following three commands, each under the control of a Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief:-

The Western Naval Command (Headquarters at Mumbai).
The Eastern Naval Command (Head quarters at Visakhapatnam)
The Southern Naval Command (Headquarters at Kochi)
The Western and the Eastern Naval Command are operational commands and exercise control over operations in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal respectively. The Southern Command is designed as the Training Command.
