The Asian Games is considered one of the prestige games after Olympics, which originated from India, first game held in New Delhi at the year of 1951 in which Maharajadhiraj Yadavindra Singh, Maharaja of Patiala has given immense role in the game. It been now sixteenth (XVI) Asian Games to countdown at China in a beautiful Enchanting place known as Guangzhou, the city known as “Flower city” or “City of Goats” from 12th December to 27th December.
Asian games are organized by Olympic Council of India (OCI) under the supervision of International Olympic Committee (IOC). Over 45 countries participating in 42 Sports among them 28 Olympics sports and 14 non Olympic sports. The spectacular Olympic view at Guangzhou where 14,000 athlete trainees and coaches attend in 42 sports with crowds 10,000 media to catch the view all around. After Olympic game held in Beijing, Guangzhou next place which meets the ambience of Olympics. “Le Yangyang” that is the symbol of 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, in which five goats leader among them is Le Yangyang. The Mascot created with different colors which shows the culture and art each goat has been given with a different name i.e. “A Xiang”,” A He”, “A Ru”, “A Yi” and “Le Yangyang”. When combine all five of them forms a meaning of Peace, Harmony and Great Happiness, with everything. The goat has deeply concerned with Chinese art and traditional culture. Construction work of Guangzhou Asian Games still on process, Tianhe Gymnasium is the first one to be completed. The Spectacular venue of Zengcheng Dragon Boat Lake is on process for boat competition special seating arrangements on the bank of river is to be made.
The Organizing Chinese Olympic committee president and Minister of sport in China is Mr.Liu Peng. The main vision of Guangzhou Asian Games is bringing harmony and peace in Asian countries and to achive the heights in Olympic Games through Asian games. By participating aspirants from different parts will be integrating culture in strong way.
