A 140 km drive on the Jaipur-Bikaner highway (NH-11) from Jaipur takes you to the magnificent campus of the institute. It is spread over an area of over 265 acres full of greenery with a wide variety of trees and other plants, especially developed for the purpose. Drive through any of the three massive gates, you will usher yourself into a gigantic campus with 69 buildings covering an area of approximately 12 lacs sq. ft. , connected by approximately 10 km internal roads , including huge academic and other buildings, hostels with spacious corridors, big terraces and luxurious rooms brushed with the fragrance of lush green gardens with sprawling lawns harbouring delightful trees and forming a picturesque setting. The whole campus has been beautifully landscaped with waterfalls, fountains, orchards, lawns, forests and a water body, literally transforming the Shekhawati belt of the Thar desert into an oasis. In a latest survey 89 species of birds ( certified by ornithologist from World Wildlife Fund-Indis) and 16 species of butterflies (certified by lepidopterists from World Wildlife Fund -India) have been identified. The campus has its own power house and captive sewage treatment plant. No ground water is lost and all irrigation is carried out with recycled water. Its rural location is quiet and peaceful, indeed ideal for academic pursuits, close to the nature in its totally pollution-free environment and far away from the hustle-n-bustle of city pollution.
