Eligibility:
Honours Degree or its equivalent in any discipline/ Graduate in any professional course (Engineering, etc.), LLB (5 years) of a recognized University. Those who will be appearing in such examination within June 2011 may also apply.
Selection: Through COMMON ADMISSION TEST (CAT) of IIMs. IISWBM uses CAT for short listing the candidates. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme. To appear in CAT minimum 50% marks is required, in Bachelors.
How To Apply:
Application Form and Brochure: Available from September 06, 2010, from the Reception Counter of IISWBM on cash payment of Rs.1200/ - or against Bank Draft of Rs. 1300/- payable on any bank at Kolkata in favour of IISWBM. Application form may be downloaded from our website.
For admission to IISWBM, one has to apply to CAT and also apply separately to IISWBM for which Brochure and Application Farms are to be obtained from IISWBM.

About IISWBM
The Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management (IISWBM) is a graduate business school in Kolkata, India. It is the first institute in India to offer an MBA degree of any Indian university (as XLRI, the oldest management institute in India, did not offer MBA degrees ever since its inception). It was established in 1953.
The Sports Management Department is now called the Naval Tata Centre of Excellence in Sports Management in memory of one of the most distinguished Industrialist and Sports Administrator of India. The Sports Management course is the only one of its kind in India. All the batches have obtained suitable placements and the department has decided to provide a winter internship each year
The faculty of the Institute has taken up a number of research & consultancy project work particularly to develop industry-institute interaction. The prime area of research & consultancy work involved key functional areas of management viz., marketing, HR, finance, system/IT, etc. besides Public Systems Management viz., environment, energy, transportation & logistics, health care & hospital management.
