Applications are invited for filling up the following posts on deputation basis in ICFRE and its Institutes in the pay scales indicated against the post with usual allowances as admissible under the rules in ICFRE:-
1. Director, TFRI, Jabalpur
Pay Scale: HAG Rs.67,000-79,000/-
2. Director, IFP, Ranchi
Pay Scale: PB:4 Rs.37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs.10,000/-
The eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions for these above posts are indicated below:-
1. One post of Director, Tropical Forest Research Institute, Jabalpur
A. For Members of Indian Forest Service:
A.1 Essential Qualifications:
A serving member of Indian Forest Service having completed 26 years of service with reference to year of allotment, who has at least 5 years research experience on posts in Forestry Research. The time spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree shall not be counted towards this minimum required research experience, unless the officer has held charge of a regular post in Forestry Research concurrently.
A.2 Desirable Qualifications:
1. Doctoral Degree
OR
B. For Scientists:
B.1 Essential Qualifications:
A candidate having First Class Masters Degree in Basic Sciences/Agriculture and Allied Sciences/Forestry and Allied Sciences and other related disciplines from a recognized University with 26 years of service with reference to the date of appointment as Group ‘A’ Scientists, and who has 15 years experience in Forestry Research. The time spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree shall not be counted towards this minimum required research experience, unless the Scientist has held charge of a regular post in Forestry Research concurrently.
B.2 Desirable Qualifications:
1. Doctoral Degree.
2. One post of Director, Institute of Forest Productivity, Ranchi
A. For Members of Indian Forest Service:
A.1 Essential Qualifications;
A serving member of Indian Forest Service having completed 19 years of service with reference to year of allotment, who has worked for at least 3 years on the posts in Forestry Research. The time spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree shall not be counted towards this minimum required research experience unless the Officer has held charge of a regular post in Forestry Research concurrently.
A.2 Desirable Qualifications:
1. Doctoral Degree.
OR
B. For Scientists:
B.1 Essential Qualifications:
A candidate having First Class Masters Degree in Basic Sciences/Agriculture and Allied Sciences/Forestry and Allied Sciences and other related disciplines from a recognized University with 19 years of service with reference to the date of appointment as Group ‘A’ Scientist, and who has 10 years experience in Forestry Research. The time spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree shall not be counted towards this minimum required research experience unless the Scientist has held charge of a regular post in Forestry Research concurrently.
B.2 Desirable Qualifications:
1. Doctoral Degree.
C. Head Quarters:- The Head quarter(s) of the Director, TFRI and Director, IFP shall be Jabalpur and Ranchi respectively. The Director General, ICFRE, with the approval of the MoEF shall transfer the incumbent from one post to other, as and when such circumstances, so warrant. However, the officer appointed to these posts would be liable to serve anywhere in India.
D. Age:- Not exceeding 57 years as on 06.05.2011
E. Eligibility:- The crucial date for determining eligibility criteria shall be 06.05.2011 i.e. the last date of receipt of application
F. Tenure:- The tenure of deputation shall ordinarily be five years or till superannuation, whichever is earlier, and as per guidelines of the Government of India.
G. “Cooling off” requirement: “Cooling off” period for the posts shall be as per guidelines of the Government of India.
H. Debarment: In case an officer, to whom offer of appointment to any of the above posts does not report either on his own volition or at the instance of the Cadre authority, he would be debarred from consideration for a post in ICFRE for a period of 5 years.
