Indian Maritime University, Mumbai Campus conducts one year pre-sea training course for graduates in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture. A few seats (about 15) of this One year Pre-Sea Marine Engineering Training Course starting from 03rd January, 2011, are likely to remain vacant after admission of sponsored candidates. Available vacant seats will be filled up through direct admissions. Eligible unmarried candidates (male/ female) of Indian nationality may apply. This course also leads to award of Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering (PGDME) by the University.
Dates of walk Interviews & Medical Examination :
18th January, 2011 & 19th January, 2011.
Application Procedure :
(i) Pay ` 1,000 by Demand Draft at the time of interview.
(ii) Medical examination fee approx ` 1,500 to be paid directly to Doctor.
(iii) Suggest keep Demand Draft for ` 1,50,000 ready to deposit & join course immediately after medical examination. Otherwise fee to be paid before 25th January, 2011 if selected. Demand Draft to be drawn in favour of "Indian Maritime University, Mumbai Campus", payable at Mumbai.

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) is located in Chennai. It was established on 14.11.2008 by the Indian Maritime University Act, 2008 (22 of 2008) It located in Utthandi in Chennai with campuses at Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam.
The following existing seven government and government aided maritime training and research institutes has been merged with IMU.
