How To Apply:
Detailed procedures for selection of the candidates who have been offered Junior Research Fellowships by the CSIR/ NBHM are available in the prospectus. Limited hostel facilities are available. Candidates who are due to complete the qualifying examinations before 01 July 2011 may also apply. College P.O., Bangalore 560 059, (d) Head, SQC & OR Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, 110 Nelson Manickam Road (1st floor), Aminjikarai, Chennai 600 029, (e) Head, SQC & OR Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Street No. 8, Habshiguda, Hyderabad 500 007, by paying an amount of Rs. 450/-(Rs. 225/- only for reserved categories in all programmes except Junior Research Fellowship ) in cash (from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on working days from Monday to Friday) or by bank draft drawn in favour of “Indian Statistical Institute” payable at Kolkata. Request for application forms should have mailing address in CAPITALS.
Postal orders, Money orders and Cheques will not be accepted. Incomplete/Improper Application Forms will be rejected.
Prospectus, Application Form, Sample Questions and this Admission Notice will also be available on our website www.isical.ac.in/~deanweb in PDF format from 09 February 2011. Candidates who want to send the downloaded application form should read carefully the instructions given in the website before filling in the application form.

About Indian Statistical Institute (ISI)
Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is an institute and university in Kolkata's norther outskirt of Baranagar, India founded by Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis in 1931. It is one of the oldest institutions focused on Statistics, and its early reputation led it to being adopted as a model for the first US institute of statistics set up at the Research Triangle, North Carolina by Gertrude Mary Cox.
Its activities are research, teaching, and practise of statistics to the natural sciences and social sciences. Originally affiliated with the University of Calcutta, the institute was declared an Institute of National Importance in 1959.
The main campus and headquarters is located in Baranagar, in suburban Kolkata. The campuses at Kolkata, Delhi and Bangalore focus on teaching, and the institute has offices in seven other locations throughout India engaging in consultancy in statistical process control and operations research. The Director is Professor Bimal Kumar Roy and the Dean of Studies is Professor Bhabani Prasad Sinha.
